I observed this scene as I was headed home from some last minute pre-Christmas errands, and decided to pull into a nearby gas station so I could photograph it. Those are pigeons, which to my understanding are not particularly intelligent birds. Perhaps there is some sort of preset pigeon-to-pigeon distance hardwired into their DNA. |
